One can play there on line in the absence of being able to see it regularly on television. Taking into account the innumerable possibilities of play, the experiment is paramount in Omaha to control truly all the strings of the play. There are now great omaha tournaments for this nice poker game.

The principle of the Omaha poker

The Omaha poker is an alternative of open poker. He is played with tokens (or plates) and one pack of 52 cards. To form the best hand, the player must use two charts among the four closed and privative charts which were distributed to him, and three of the five open and public charts which constitute the table, in the middle of the table of play. Omaha is not played in No limit as in Texas Hold'em, but there exists a version hi/lo which divides the pot between the best hand and the lowest hand. Let us see in detail the course of part of Omaha poker.

The beginning of the hand

The players intervene in the direction of the needles of a watch, while starting with the player located at the left of the donor. The position of the donor is materialized by the button. The first player discharges small the blind corresponding to half of the basic setting. The second player pays the big blind, equal to the basic setting. The current setting is then the big blind. Then the donor (or the croupier for its account, if there is one of them) one by one distributes the charts to the players, in the usual order, at a rate of quatres charts closed (visible only by the player) and deprived (with the single use of the player) per player.

The first turn of bidding

The player located at the left of that which paid the big blind must speak. He can follow (i.e. to pay the equivalent of the current setting, here the big blind), to start again (by paying the current setting and by adding the basic setting to it: this sum becomes the new current setting) or to lie down (it gives up the hand then). The players speak in turn, always in the same order. The number of revivals however is limited. The turn of bidding is completed when the players spoke all and when all the players still concerned discharged same setting. Let us note a small characteristic for the player in position of big blind: if no player started again, it with the possibility of checker simply (i.e. to stick to the already versed setting, since this one, the big blind, is equal to the current setting). There can thus remain concerned without having miser moreover.

Case where a player does not have enough tokens to follow

If a player does not have sufficiently any more to align himself on the current setting, it can miser the remainder of its tokens. It is said whereas it makes carpet. This case also applies if it has enough tokens to follow but if it misses some to him to start again basic setting. When a player placed the totality of its carpet in the middle of the table, in the event of revival by one of its adversaries, the pot is shared. The principal pot (hand pot) concerns all the players, while the side pot could be gained only by those which will have taken part in it. There can be on this principle several side pots. This rule is valid with all the turns of bidding.

Flop

After the initial turn of bidding, a chart is burned. Three charts are revealed (visible face) in the middle of the table. They form failure. They are usable by all the players. The second round of bidding starts by the player located in position of small blind. If necessary, as long as there are no setting or revival, the players can checker since their own setting is equivalent to the current setting.

The turn and the river

A news is chart is burned then the donor (or the croupier) turns over one 4th chart. This chart is called the French turn or turning. Is followed from there a third turn of bidding from which the basic setting is doubled. When the biddings are closed, the croup burns a last chart and turns over the fifth chart of the table: to rivet (French river). The last turn of bidding is carried out.

End of the hand

The hand ends in the abbatage. One examines pot by pot the game of the players who took part in it entirely. Into hi/lo, each pot is divided into two: a half for the strongest hand and a second half for control. For a given pot, if only one player is still concerned, it gains the entirety of the pot. If several players can claim with the same pot, they must show their play in the usual order. A player can not show his hand and give up the blow. The pot is divided equitably between the players having the best hand. Each hand is necessarily made up of two charts of the player and three charts of the table.
