General information on the battle
The battle is a very popular card deck, one of the first which the children learn how to play. The goal of this play simplissime is to obtain a chart higher than the adversary. Between friends, each part proceeds until exhaustion of the charts. With the casino, each blow is independent. One generally plays there with 6 or 8 card decks, which increases the probabilities of equality. In the event of equality, there is battle. Each player receives a second chart: as for the first chart, that which receives the highest chart gains the blow.
The order of the charts does not take account of the colors. The charts are thus classified in the order ascending: 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, servant, lady, king, ace.
Detail of one blow to the battle
The player plays against the casino. A part starts with the deposit of the settings of the players. The croupier distributes then a chart to each player and itself. The charts are then compared. If that of the casino is higher than that of the player, then this one loses the blow and consequently its setting. If the player has a chart stronger than that of the casino, then it gains the equivalent of its setting, while recovering it.
In the event of equality, there is battle. The player can or not continue. If it gives up it half of its setting recovers. On the other hand, if it decides to continue it owes miser the equivalent of its first setting. The croupier burns three charts then. He gives one of them to the player and one makes use of it. The two new charts are in their turn compared. If the chart of the bank is better than that of the player, this one loses its settings. If the player has a stronger chart or of the same value than that of the casino, it gains the sum of its settings (and those are reassigned to him).
In addition to the traditional bet, it is often possible of miser on the equality. This bet is generally paid 10 times the setting.
