The Dutch martingale: an effective and progressive method
Principle of the martingale or rising Dutch
The Dutch martingale is practiced on games offering approximately a chance on two to the player to gain. As for the other martingales, it adapts particularly to the roulette, and in particular to the French roulette. But one can make use of it for good of other games of probabilities.
For this rising, the player put to compensate for his losses one by one, and not the total as in the method of Hawks or the great martingale. It must in makes manage a list of the successive losses. Then it put the amount of the first loss of the list to which he adds the basic setting. In the event of success, it removes this loss of its list and starts again with the following one. In the event of failure, he adds the new loss at the end of his list and starts again with the first. Final, each gaining blow allows empocher the basic setting condition as a preliminary of having to purge the list of the losses!

In our example, the player is in very light loss, in spite of more blows losers than of gaining blows. Each gaining blow (14 on the whole), enabled him to obtain the basic setting (either 14 units). These profits compensate for the list of debts which is assembled to 17 units (4 + 4 + 4 + 5). That explains its balance slightly negative of -3.
The Dutch martingale: for and against
The great disadvantage of this martingale is the fact that it really becomes gaining only when one succeeded in purging the list of losses. It also should be seen that as long as one does not have completely to purge the list of the losses, the settings increase gradually (even if that remains in small proportions). This list has the advantage of ensuring a profit corresponding to the number of blows gaining by the basic setting (in the condition express train however of having purged the list of the losses). But its principal positive point is to avoid a climbing of the settings. Those remain proportional to the basic setting, without increasing exponentially. If one bases oneself on long run, one can consider that one has a balance between the number of gaining blows and the number of blows losers (by disregarding all the same 0 in our exempe). in this case, the losses will be compensated what give good luck of success with this martingale.
