The paroli : a technique to win at casino
Principle of the paroli
The paroli is opposed by the great majority of the martingales. Where those will increase the settings in the event of failure in order to compensate for the losses, the paroli will increase the settings in the event of success. The paroli follows in oneself the principle of the law of the series. Let us see more precisely how the settings must be placed.
A limit of setting is fixed. One speaks about paroli of 1 if one returns to the basic setting when the profit of a blow reaches 2 times the basic setting. For a paroli of 2, one will stop on a profit of 4 times the setting. 8 times for a paroli of 3… In a general way, a paroli N will return to the basic setting after a blow making it possible to gain 2n time the basic setting.
On a gaining blow, and if the profit is lower than the limit of the paroli, the player put double of the preceding setting. In the other cases, i.e. in the event of failure or if the limit of the paroli is reached, he bets the basic setting.
Example of paroli
Let us continue the example of the roulette. One bets on the red. Here evolution of the settings and the profits while following a paroli of 2: the limit of profit is 4 times the basic setting. The basic setting is 1.

In our example, the player is losing. He suffers from the number of blows losers superior to the number of gaining blows. As this technique speculates in the good series rather than to bait itself on the bad ones, a series of balanced events or unfavourable will not make it possible to gain or gain much. One will even note that there no was series favorable for the player so that it forever gained the limit of setting of the paroli.
For or against the paroli?
The major disadvantage of the paroli is its very random character. On probabilities where the series are frequent it will be with its advantage, but when alternation profit/loss becomes very frequent it will not be gaining. In this case it is necessary to reduce the level of the paroli. The higher the level is, and the more one will speculate in long series. It is thus important to adapt this level.
The main advantage of the paroli is its level of prudence. Rather than to follow a logic of climbing of the settings to compensate for the losses, in the event of negative series, it puts a ceiling to the setting on the level of the basic setting to go up it on more favorable series.
